Adding to this, Star and activist Prakash Raj is participating in the protest, while YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has been revealed as a special guest. Rathee verified his participation after Prakash Raj revealed his presence at Freedom Park. JNU student leader Aishe Ghosh, Neha Bora, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and other youth and civil society representatives are also expected to attend. The CJP and allied groups have demanded that deletions made during the SIR exercise be scrapped and the pre-SIR electoral rolls retained. They have also sought the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging irregularities in the electoral process. Stand with all the cockroaches who will be there. Aishe Ghosh will be there. Neha Bora will be there. All young organisations will be there. Civil Society will be there. And the victims of SIR from across the districts of Karnataka will be there. Let's come together to raise our voice in solidarity against this draconian SIR," Raj shared in the video. 'People's tribunal' at Freedom Park Raj also opened up that a "people' tribunal" will held in Bengaluru in which "victims of SIR" from across Karnataka will be present. Raj, a critic of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, took to social media to make the announcement. "People's Tribunal by Cockroaches (Cockroach Janata Party)..Dipke...Ashuthosh.. Sourav and all the youth organisations and the civil society...the victims of SIR from across the state will be present." Meanwhile, Bengaluru CJP protest LIVE updates: "Who are they to take away our votes? This is serious wrongdoing," star Prakash Raj alleged, raising slogans of "Vote chor, gaddi chor."
Notably, Raj shared the issue was not simply about the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, but about scrapping the SIR.
As per the latest buzz, "Our fight is not merely for the resignation of Kumar. Even if he goes, another person, Agyanesh Kumar, may come in his place. That's not what we want. We want the SIR to be scrapped totally," he shared.
In further updates, Bengaluru CJP protest LIVE updates: Star-activist Prakash Raj on Thursday demanded scrapping the SIR exercise, alleging it was not merely about deletion of votes, but an attack on the dignity and rights of citizens.
On top of that, CEC Gyanesh Kumar is "acting at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah," he alleged, addressing a protest christened 'people's tribunal,' held by civil societies and the CJP here against the SIR.
Raj hitting out at the Centre, and the EC for "insulting the voters", shared politicians approached voters every five years seeking their blessings and votes, but they were now being forced to seeks restoration of their votes.
