Adding to this, The AAP leaders are demanding an FIR to be registered against Parvesh Verma. Delhi Police on Monday filed a non-cognisable report (NCR) against Verma over the slapping incident, while an FIR has been registered against AAP MLA Jarnail Singh for allegedly obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duty, officials shared.
Meanwhile, An FIR has been registered against AAP members along with party workers, for allegedly assaulting a Delhi Police head constable who was on duty in plain clothes in Tilak Nagar, police shared on Tuesday.
Notably, The incident took place when former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal visited Tilak Nagar on Monday. The head constable, who was deployed in plain clothes and was carrying out videography, was allegedly surrounded by a crowd of AAP supporters, who then assaulted him. The incident was caught on video.
As per the latest buzz, The policeman was subsequently taken for a medical examination, police shared.
In further updates, A case has been registered under sections pertaining to obstructing a public servant in discharge of his duty and assaulting a government employee, according to police.
On top of that, Further investigation is underway, police shared.
Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote on X: "Today, we went to the police headquarters with our comrades to file an FIR against the "slap-happy" minister Pravesh Verma. But today, for the third consecutive day, the Delhi Police took all our comrades into custody."
