DMK president MK Stalin on Monday opposed the C Jospeh Vijay -led government's proposal to build a new Secretariat-Assembly complex at Pattinapakkam near Chennai's Marina Beach and threatened to protest if the plan went ahead.

As per the latest buzz, "The Omandurar Government Estate, where a new Secretariat was constructed [during the Karunanidhi regime), is also available. If necessary, the superspeciality hospital could be shifted to another location and the premises could be used as a Secretariat. But there are reports that the government has chosen Pattinapakkam because astrologers have advised that the chief minister's office should face the sea," he shared, as per The Hindu.
