EXCLUSIVE: Trailer of Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan starrer Haiwaan to release digitally on August 25

A source told Bollywood Hungama , “The trailer of Haiwaan will be rolled out tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25. While the teaser offered just a glimpse into the movie’s dark and thrilling world, ‘Mere Hero Hai Woh’ shed light on an important emotional track in the story. The trailer will now open up the world of Haiwaan further and give audiences a much clearer sense of the conflict, particularly the intriguing equation between Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s characters. The rest of the ensemble cast is also expected to get its due in the trailer. The makers are extremely confident about the asset and believe that it will significantly amplify the buzz around the movie ahead of its September 11 rollout.”
Adding to this, Besides Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Haiwaan also stars Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi. It is directed by Priyadarshan. Incidentally, this is the second movie of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar this year. Their last movie, Bhooth Bangla (2026), was a horror comedy and hence totally diverse from the space of Haiwaan .
Meanwhile, Of late, Priyadarshan spoke highly of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Regarding Saif, he shared, “Saif made the character his own. I didn’t have to explain much. He just listened, understood, and delivered beyond expectation. When he came to me, I told him to open his eyes, and without blinking, to think that he cannot see. Saif told me that he had never heard such a simple explanation before.”
Notably, As for Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan shared, “Akshay’s character is not grey; he is a psycho in Haiwaan .” He added that their long-standing professional relationship has created a strong level of trust, allowing Akshay to perform without repeatedly questioning his direction.
