Ajay Devgn announces Drishyam 3 title Drishyam The Conclusion, returns as Vijay Salgaonkar for final chapter

Ajay Devgn is returning as Vijay Salgaonkar for the third and final movie in the Hindi Drishyam franchise. The star has revealed the official title of the third installment, Drishyam The Conclusion, which is set to rollout in theatres on October 2, 2026. After two films filled with twists, secrets and Vijay’s carefully thought-out moves to keep his family safe, the franchise is now gearing up to reveal how his story finally comes to an end.

Adding to this, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 is officially titled The Conclusion; movie releases on October 2, 2026. Ajay makes the announcement On August 24, Ajay Devgn unveiled the first poster of Drishyam The Conclusion, officially announcing the final chapter of the franchise. The poster features the line, "Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai" (My truth, my right, only my family hai), perfectly capturing Vijay Salgaonkar’s mindset.

Meanwhile, The first-look teaser had already hinted at what lies ahead, with Ajay's voiceover giving followers a glimpse into Vijay's state of mind. Rolled out in December 2025, he is heard saying, “The world calls me by many names — criminal, murderer,deceitful,cunning, fraud,cunning, hero, innocent, father, and mastermind. But it doesn’t matter to me. Because I understood one thing from whatever happened, whatever I did, saw, or showed in the past seven years: In this world, every person’s truth is different, as are their rights. My truth and right are my family. As long as things don’t stop, as long as others don’t fail, I will stand here, like agatekeeper and a wall.”

Notably, Drishyam The Conclusion is backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, with Abhishek Pathak returning to direct the third instalment. He has also co-written the movie with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak are producing the movie.

As per the latest buzz, The movie followed Vijay Salgaonkar, a mild-mannered family man from Goa who uses his wits to help his family escape the clutches of the law after a murder occurs in their house.

In further updates, The third installment will see Ajay Devgn return as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu reprising her role as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran back as Nandini. Rajat Kapoor will also return, while Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat have joined the cast in new roles. The shoot has been completed and the movie is currently in post-production.

On top of that, The Hindi Drishyam franchise began in 2015 with the remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam thriller. The movie quickly won over audiences and went on to collect around ₹ 110 crore rupees worldwide, making Vijay Salgaonkar a fan-favourite. Drishyam 2, which arrived in 2022, took the franchise a step further and turned out to be an even bigger hit, grossing nearly ₹ 342 crore rupees worldwide.

While the Hindi franchise is set to wrap up Vijay Salgaonkar’s story, the original Malayalam series is showing no signs of slowing down. Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam 3 hit theatres on May 21, 2026, and turned out to be another big success for the franchise. The movie opened worldwide with around ₹ 43.37 crore rupees and went on to cross ₹ 242 crore rupees globally, making it the highest-grossing instalment in the Drishyam series so far.
