Star Kartik Aaryan has undergone successful knee surgery at a Mumbai-based hospital. The star of late sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the sets of one of his films, after which he had to undergo surgery.

Notably, Kartik suffered the injury during the shoot of his soon-to-release collaboration with director Kabir Khan . A source close to the production told India Today, “Kartik was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital and is under medical care. The doctors will perform his knee surgery in a day, after which he will have to rest for a few days. He should then be able to resume his work commitments.” The star had earlier sustained a knee injury during the shoot of his 2023 movie, Shehzada.

The star of late won the Best Star in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Movie Awards. Revealed on July 18, the award was given to Kartik for his portrayal of India's first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar, in the biographical sports drama Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan.
On top of that, Reacting to the achievement on Instagram, Aaryan wrote, “Still processing... Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I've carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful..Best Star National Award #ChanduChampion.”
Kartik shared the Best Star honour with Malayalam screen icon Mammootty, who was adjudged for his performance in Bramayugam. This is Kartik's first National Award, while it is Mammootty's fourth.
