Taapsee Pannu says she’s never met Kangana Ranaut, addresses their past feud: ‘A reflection of our upbringings’

Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut had a public feud in 2019 and 2020. Of late, Taapsee spoke about her equation with Kangana and opened up that she has never met the star. She also opened up about the possibility of joining politics.

Adding to this, Taapsee Pannu on feud with Kangana Ranaut. ‘People can decide who comes from where’ Speaking about her feud with Kangana , Taapsee shared that the way they speak about each other is a reflection of their upbringing. She told India Today, “I haven't met her. I didn't meet her before when these so-called issues started. I haven't met her now as well. My opinion on her is reflective of my upbringing and my way of talking, my way of perceiving things and hers... she stands by hers. So, I think that's enough for everybody to look and decide who comes from where."

Meanwhile, Taapsee also spoke about the possibility of entering politics. She shared, “I am too honest and vulnerable for this. Also, I want to do a few more films. I am not at all considering joining and I don't have the DNA for that.” Taapsee also shared that she takes an interest in political issues and is vocal about them as an educated citizen rather than approaching such matters from a political standpoint.

Notably, Taapsee and Kangana's feud started in 2019. It intensified after Kangana's sister, Rangoli Chandel, called Taapsee a “sasti copy” of Kangana on social media. The exchange further escalated in 2020 after Kangana referred to Taapsee and others as “B-grade actresses” and “needy outsiders” amid debates around nepotism and industry politics.

As per the latest buzz, Taapsee, however, has maintained that despite their differences, she is ready to be friends with the star.

In further updates, Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel in an old interaction, Taapsee shared, “I don’t know if I ever fought. A fight happens when two people clash. I never clashed. You tell me — have I ever shared even a single line against her? Her sister called me a ‘cheap copy.’ She shared that since I don’t earn as much money as her, that makes me cheap. If she is such a brilliant star, I have no problem being called her copy. You can take out any statement of mine – I haven’t shared anything against her.”
