Poonam Dhillon hospitalised at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after Dengue diagnosis

Journalist Vickey Lalwani shared an update about Dhillon’s health on Instagram on August 22. He wrote, “Poonam Dhillon has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. The senior star has been diagnosed with dengue and has been in the hospital for quite some days now.”

Adding to this, Lalwani also opened up that he had contacted Dhillon on the morning of August 22 to enquire about her health. According to his update, the star responded that she was recovering. The journalist subsequently wished her a speedy recovery and expressed hope that she would soon be able to return home.

Meanwhile, Dhillon’s hospitalisation comes days after she was involved in a row concerning the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), where she serves as president. The issue began after eight elected members of CINTAA’s Executive Committee resigned from their positions and called for fresh elections.

Notably, In their letter, the members alleged that Dhillon, Senior Vice President Padmini Kolhapure and some other Executive Committee members had increasingly taken control of important decisions within the association. The resignations led to a dispute over CINTAA’s functioning and leadership.

As per the latest buzz, Dhillon subsequently responded to the allegations and shared she was 'shocked' by the claims. She defended her contribution to the association and shared that she and Kolhapure had been supporting CINTAA using their own resources and industry contacts.
