Emraan Hashmi is currently enjoying the success of his latest movie Awarapan 2 , the sequel to his 2007 cult classic. Amid the ongoing fervour surrounding the movie, Emraan has hinted at the possibility of a third instalment of the franchise.

They arrived at the theatre during the interval, interacted with followers and spoke about the response to the movie.

Meanwhile, In conversation with the audience, Emraan shared, “This is a movie which belongs to followers more than the makers isiliye hum wapis aaye abhi, is journey ko humne aur thrilling banaya with more action and more emotions. Friday ko bas humare haath se nikal gayi aur aapke hawale (This is a movie that belongs to the followers more than the makers, which is why we have returned. We have made this journey even more thrilling with more action and emotions. On Friday, the movie will be out of our hands and in yours).”

Notably, When followers declared that the movie would become a super-hit, Emraan responded, “Movie baaki hai, second half better hai (The movie is not over yet; the second half is better).”

As per the latest buzz, Hinting at a potential third instalment, Emraan shared, “Umeed yahi hai ki aapko puri movie pasand aayegi. Hopefully, Awarapan 3 very soon (We hope you enjoy the entire movie, and hopefully),” he shared.

In further updates, Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 stars Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani in the lead roles. Apart from Emraan and Disha, the movie also stars veteran star Shabana Azmi and Kohrra star Suvinder Vicky.

On top of that, Awarapan 2 rolled out in theatres on Friday and opened to a strong response from audiences. The movie is competing with Sunny Deol-starrer Batwara 1947, but it is way ahead of the movie in terms of opening day ticket-window performance. While Emraan’s movie minted ₹ 22 crore rupees on Friday, Sunny Deol’s movie raked in ₹ 5.75 crore rupees.

In a recent interview with Man’s World India, Emraan opened up about the long gap between the two Awarapan films. He shared, “I was holding off for the longest because a sequel has to be worthy of the first movie. I was waiting for a strong script." He shared that they went ahead with the movie after writer Bilal Siddiqi came on board with a compelling subject. “Once we read it, we decided to go ahead,” Emraan shared.
