Sunny Deol recreates 'papa hu papa' from Oggy and the Cockroaches to perfection, internet can't believe the crossover

Star Sunny Deol has been busy promoting his new movie, Batwara 1947. For the same, the veteran star undertook a massive nationwide city tour along with the movie’s cast and director Rajkumar Santoshi . One of the final stops in the tour was Kolkata, where he interacted with followers at an event. But apart from some Batwara talks, Sunny stunned followers with a rather unbelievable crossover. The star obliged a fan, recreating a dialogue from the animated show Oggy and the Cockroaches, which was dubbed in ‘his voice’ originally.

Explaining the context, the fan tells the star about Oggy and the Cockroaches. “There is a line in it in your voice, sir, where the character says, ‘Oye main papa hoon, duniya ka papa (I am the daddy, world’s daddy). Please can you say that in your style.”
Meanwhile, Sunny first smiles at the request and says, “I haven’t watched it, but you are saying he says, ‘main papa hoon, duniya ka papa’. So let me try.” The star then recreated the line in Hindi and Punjabi in his signature bold style to loud cheers from the crowd.

As per the latest buzz, The video of Sunny giving Oggy and the Cockroaches a shoutout in this manner went widely shared on Instagram in no time. Many comments expressed disbelief. “Now I can die peacefully,” chirped one. Another shared, “We got Sunny paaji saying Jack’s line before GTA VI.” Others took it further and joked that this style would look funny for Sunny’s next character. The star plays Lord Hanuman in Ramayana. “Imagine him saying to Ravana-Oye utha utha k patkunga tod dunga fod dunga oye..main papa hun iss Lanka ka Papa,” joked one social media user.
In further updates, Oggy and the Cockroaches was an animated series created in Canada by Jean-Yves Raimbaud and produced by Gaumont Multimedia. It aired from 1998 to 2019 across seven seasons. It began airing on Nickelodeon in India in 2009. In 2012, it was acquired by Cartoon Network for India, acquiring Bollywood-style voiceovers, with Jack, a green cat, voiced in the style of Sunny Deol. The series and its voice acting proved extremely popular in India, making the show part of the country's pop culture.
On top of that, Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the movie stars Sunny Deol as a Muslim man who moves to Pakistan during Partition, only to find a Hindu woman, played by Shabana Azmi, still living in his new home. As tensions rise, he takes responsibility for protecting her while keeping his family safe. The movie also stars Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hajare, and Kanikka Kapur. Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, the movie has rolled out in theatres today (August 14).
