Kangana Ranaut says half the people at Jantar Mantar protest were of Shabana Azmi's age: ‘Kaise Gen Z protest?’

Star and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut stirred row after she shared that some young Hindu women flaunt freedom without accountability and called them ‘generation gutter’. After backlash over her comments from the opposition party members, Kangana has now added another clarification.
Adding to this, Kangana Ranaut has further defended her comments on the Gen Z-led protests in Delhi. What Kangana shared On Thursday, Kangana shared a video of herself to defend her statement on Instagram Stories. She added, “Poore desh ke yuva? Agar aap sirf Gen Z ki baat karte hai, toh almost 30-35 crore rupees ke paas inki population hone waali hai. Jo Jantar Mantar hai waha par 10,000 log ekhatta hue the jinme toh aadhey se jyada log toh Shabana Azmi-type log the, aapne dekha ki har type ke age group ghum rahe the. Agar hum yuvaon ki baat karte hain, Gen Z ki hum specifically baat karte hai toh lag bhag waha par 2000 Gen Z the, toh kaise ye log isko Gen Z protest keh rahe hai? Ki poore desh ki Gen Z protest kar rahe (The youth of this country? If we speak of Gen Z, then the population is around 30-35 crore rupees. Around 10,000 people were in Jantar Mantar where more than half of them were Shabana Azmi-type people, so many age group people were present. If we specifically speak of the Gen Z then only 2000 of them were present. So how is it a Gen Z protest? That the entire country's Gen Z were there)?”
Meanwhile, She went on to add, "Ye jo yaha par nasal ikkathha hui thi, usi ke baare mein jo he maine specifically kaha tha. Main aapko open challenge deti hu, mera koi aisa specific quote bataiye jaha maine poori generation ko include kiya ho? Ye faltu ka agenda aap mere saath mat chalaiye! Main yuva-virodhi nahi ho sakti kyuki main khud yuva hoon (It was for the crowd which had gathered outside, I had specifically spoken about them. I am giving an open challenge to pick out any quote where I directed it for the entire generation. Don't throw this useless agenda at me. I am not against the youth because I am one of them)."
Notably, Veteran Bollywood star Shabana Azmi , 75, joined thousands of protestors in their march towards Parliament at Jantar Mantar on July 20. In the photos and videos she posted on Instagram, she was seen travelling in a truck and even crossing barricades alongside the protesters. She had also shared a photo of herself travelling in a truck during the protest march, alongside star Prakash Raj .
As per the latest buzz, Meanwhile, Kangana had earlier criticized the Gen Z protests. "Never in my life have I seen so much ugliness in one place. These reels from Gen Z protests are puke-inducing. The way they speak and the kind of language they are using... never in my life have I seen everything in each and every frame so jarring and so crass all at once....I call them Generation Gutter. Some of them have nothing to offer to the system. They are not good at studies...," she had shared last month.
In further updates, After backlash for her remarks, Kangana had shared she had not made a blanket statement about the protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG paper leak and she "specifically referred to some people or some women". "Those who call themselves cockroaches, and we say that cockroaches emerge from gutters, what is wrong with that? My point is simply this: if people label themselves as cockroaches, and we say the gutter is their home, why should they be offended? I certainly don't consider myself a cockroach. If someone were to say I live in a gutter, I would deny it. But if someone claims to be a cockroach, then naturally, they would live in a gutter. Where else? But to claim that I was referring to all youth is simply not the case," she told news agency ANI on Wednesday.
