Mirzapur followers need not wait any longer as the makers of the popular series have finally unveiled the trailer of Mirzapur: The Movie after teasing the audience with a teaser. With the rollout of the trailer, followers have gotten a glimpse into the madness that awaits them as the beloved series is set to hit the silver screen. The news regarding the trailer being rolled out on August 11 was first broken by Hindustan Times.

Trailer breakdown The trailer promises to take the familiar world of Mirzapur beyond what followers have seen on the streaming series. The trailer promises ‘bhaukaal’ like never before as Guddu bhaiya and Munna bhaiya lock horns amid fierce gang rivalry to attain the power over Mirzapur. Bloodshed, violence and a lot of confrontations follow.
Meanwhile, Mirzapur: The Movie is picking up from where the story left off in Season 1, which was rolled out back in 2018. Yet Mirzapur: The Movie is not just a sequel to the show; it's going to be a new tale of Mirzapur that never got told before.
Notably, With a larger canvas comes a bigger ensemble. The movie features Divyenndu, Ali Fazal along with Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi and Sonal S Chauhan, alongside the franchise’s familiar faces.
As per the latest buzz, Pankaj Tripathi, who reprises his role of Kaleen Bhaiya in the movie, had already teased followers about what was coming during an exclusive interview with HT earlier this week. The star opened up that he had been working on the movie’s dubbing and shared that seeing the final footage had made him even more excited.
In further updates, “I was doing some dubbing work yesterday and really enjoyed what I saw. I even wondered, ‘Is it just because I’m part of the movie that I’m enjoying it so much?’ So, I asked the makers, they’ve been with the project for ten months, whereas I was coming in to dub for the first time. Seeing it myself really ramped up my excitement; I can't wait for the trailer to drop on the 11th,” he shared
On top of that, Mirzapur: The Movie marks a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment. Gurmmeet Singh has directed the movie, with the screenplay written by Puneet Krishna.
The movie has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani serving as co-producers. The movie is set to rollout on September 4, 2026.
