MMS principal earns statewide recognition

Summers was given the Gem Award from the Idaho Association of Elementary School Principals. This award recognizes employees who are in their first two years as an administrator at the elementary or middle school level.
Adding to this, Summers started at Moscow Middle School in 2024. According to the Moscow School District, she has implemented a program meant to teach students about perseverance, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence called Cub PRIDE. She also expanded student activity options, including the girls wrestling program.
Meanwhile, Summers led a community-funded effort to upgrade the staff lounge and has led service-learning programs to help out the Humane Society, local food banks and veterans’ organizations.
