Tom Holland Says There's "A Whole Plan" For Passing Spider-Man Baton To Another Actor: "I Have A Really Clear Vision"

Tom Holland is wearing the Spidey suit one more time for Spider-Man : Brand New Day , but is aware that it won’t be happening forever.
Adding to this, In a new interview, the star has revealed there’s a plan for the superhero as Holland transitions out of the role.
Meanwhile, “There's a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home ,” Holland shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “It's laid out. It's gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it's really exciting.”
Notably, He continued, “I know I get really excited when we have these meetings and chat about it. But that is the thing I want to do most in this character, for sure.” Watch on Deadline
As per the latest buzz, Holland’s Spider-Man first appeared in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, officially becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures would then rollout Spider-Man: Homecoming the following year with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role of Iron Man. Holland would later reprise his role in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
In further updates, Earlier this year, Holland pondered the future and talked about becoming a mentor to the next Spider-Man , much like Robert Downey Jr. was to him when he entered the MCU.
On top of that, “For whoever's next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter,” Holland told Empire . “Whatever that looks like, I don't know. But if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset.”
In another interview, Holland even named Adolescence star Owen Cooper as a possible successor , telling Esquire UK , “Owen Cooper would be awesome. Obviously, he's super-talented and the talk of the town right now.”
